This year see’s Sam’s Christmas Stocking host a superb collection of acoustic acts in support of the Martlet’s Hospice & Ropetackle Arts Centre. The event is held on Friday 2nd December 2011 @ The Ropetackle Centre in Shoreham. Tickets are available here: Ropetackle Centre. The evening features artists Jennifer Clarke, Autumn Red, Samantha Horwill and Jo Harmen.
Introducing Jennifer Clarke a superb vocal and songwriting talent who is currently recording her new album with acclaimed producer Tim Ross. I had the pleasure of laying down a few guitar parts at Britannia Row studios for her new release.

Samantha Horwill is a South African born singer-songwriter. Discovered at a festival belting out her self-penned tunes on a hay bale, success soon followed as the front lady of a rock outfit including sets at national festivals, endorsement deals and extensive media coverage, she then turned her back on a major label deal to pave her own way.

The Mojo Makers will performing as part of the celebrations for the Royal wedding on Friday 29th April 2011. The event is being held at Princes Park, Eastbourne with the band taking the stage at around 4pm. There will be various events throughout the day with live coverage of the ceremony being displayed on the big screen.
The Mojo Makers are responsible for knocking out some classic spine melting rock with the likes of Aerosmith, Free, Hendrix and ZZtop but also present a softer soul/blues vibe with John Mayer, Clapton and Stevie Wonder with a good measure of Funk thrown in. Samantha Horwill was nominated for ‘Best Solo Artist’ at the Brighton Music Awards held at the Brighton Centre on Tuesday 16th November. Jimmy Page and Roger Daltrey were in attendance with Jimmy receiving the ‘Music Hall of Fame’ award. Although Sam didn’t take home the award we all ended up enjoying the shows after party. If you haven’t yet got Sam’s latest E.P ‘Half a Chance’, it’s available on iTunes.
The Guitar School has picked up the ‘School of the Year’ award for the second time. The hastings based school achieved an extremely high pass rate in the exams. The award represents the hard work the pupils, staff and tutors have put in at the school.
